A very rare sterling silver and steel gentleman's pocket knife depicting the four vices of man; horses, alcohol, women and gambling. A wonderfully detailed example of a popular series of items with this type of topic being shown. It is double sided and beautifully detailed, and even has champagne engraved into the bottle label. The blades were manufactured in Sheffield, England by George Wostenholm, the most celebrated cutler and knife maker in the world. The overall condition is excellent, however one of the blades has snapped in half, which can be seen in the second picture. Made circa 1890.
