The Casio G-Shock series is the top line of the G-Shock collection. Same as the , this MRG-B2000B-1A adopts the traditional Japanese "Katsuki" design. The Katsuki Design is mainly in dark navy blue, representing the winning colour, known as the "Sheng Sei", which has a very long history in Japan used on ancient warriors' armour.
This G-Shock MRG-B2000B-1A is based on the MRG-B2000, the dial adopts a Japanese-style pattern, making the case both powerful and beautiful. The bottom of the dial has a scale pattern, and the outer edge is cut with a Japanese fan or folding screen, showing a simple and noble texture. Look closer at the hands, they are carefully designed to show beautiful shapes and edges and with curved surfaces treated with Yamagata CASIO nanotechnology, just like a katana sword of a samurai.
The slightly concave surface of the hour marker on MRG-B2000R-1A resembles a samurai's machete. The inner surface of the bezel, the embedded dial and the logo are all embellished with victorious colours. The bezel is made of recrystallized titanium. The temperature-controlled titanium material forms a unique crystal pattern on the surface, just like the "boiling" on a Japanese knife blade.
