| Overview: Finely detailed antique Victorian fob (circa 1880s to 1900s) crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
The beautifully detailed antique fob was originally worn by a gentleman with a pocket watch, a stylish addition to any outfit. Today watch fobs are great worn as a pendant on a necklace. The underside of the fob is set with a carnelian wax seal intaglio depicting a horse motif with the inscription 'Toujours Fidelle' or 'Forever Faithful'. The fob is heavy at 22.9 grams and features a wonderful heavy chased scrolling foliate pattern.
The fob is in very good condition with patina and wear evident. We have not cleaned the fob in order to preserve the patina and collector value. Specifications:

Stones: The carnelian measures 20mm x 17mm. The carnelian is in good condition with light wear evident.
Size & Measurements: The fob measures 1 1/2 inches in length and 1 inches wide.
Metal & Hallmark: 14 karat yellow gold. The fob is not hallmarked though it has tested positive for 14 karat gold. |
